Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. Her best-known role is Skyler White in Breaking Bad, an AMC show Breaking Bad, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award in 2013 and in 2014 for Outstanding Supporting actress in an Drama Series. The actress also played Martha Bullock in Deadwood and Jean Ward on The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with acting in the Preparatory School she attended before her family moved to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. She studied theatre at Northwestern University, and spent one term at British American Drama Academy. Anna started out in Chicago, working in theatre role for several years. Then she moved to Hollywood where she started acting in movies and television shows. Anna's first major character was Arden as she appeared in Down the Shore. She was in 29 episodes. Anna continued appearing in films and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others until late the 1990's. Then she was placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock played two full seasons on Deadwood that was shot in the mid 2000's. In 2008 she was cast in the role of Skyler on Breaking Bad. Sully and Deadwood are also a the highlights of her work. Gunn was also on stages in David Schwimmer's show Sex With Strangers. The year 2022 saw Gunn also participated in an audio-play podcast named "Numbered Days". The romance between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the plot on Breaking Bad with the strained pull on their relationship and eventually its demise similar to the arc that was Walter White's final years of his life.
