Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas, also called Ashanti was born on the 13th of October of 1980, at Glen Cove New York United States. She is a musician, singer and actress who hails from the United States. Her talent was first noticed in her teens. The singer signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. The same year, she also in The Fat Joe's What's Luv? the song "What's love?" by Fat Joe as well as Ja Rule's "It's Always" on Time was a huge hit for both of them. When she had Foolish and What's Luv at Number One and her first number one hit, she was the only female artist to be featured in two tracks on the Billboard Hot 100 chart top Ten from the United States. The first female artist to hold the Top two spots on the American Billboard Hot 100 and with the number one spot held by Foolish. one and What's Love?
